A monumental expanse of richly figured burl rests upon hand-hammered aged brass, giving The Wellington Dining Table the presence of functional sculpture.
Read moreThe Wellington Dining Table is an exploration of material, proportion and craftsmanship, bringing together the extraordinary movement of richly figured burl with the quiet luminosity of hand-worked aged brass.
Extending more than ten feet in length, Wellington is deliberately monumental. Its long rectangular top presents the burl almost as a continuous landscape, revealing intricate whorls, tonal depth and naturally occurring variations across the surface. The carefully composed veneer is finished to preserve the character of the timber while allowing its extraordinary figure to remain the defining feature.
Beneath, a sculptural pedestal rises in a sweeping architectural form. Broad at its foundation, it narrows elegantly through the center before opening again beneath the tabletop, creating both visual strength and an unexpected sense of lightness. The metal surface is individually hand-hammered, producing subtle variations that catch and diffuse light rather than reflecting it uniformly.
A smooth aged-brass collar encircles the narrow waist, providing a precise counterpoint to the organic hammering surrounding it. At the floor, the pedestal resolves into a substantial sculpted foot above a restrained recessed shadow plinth.
The contrast is quintessentially Wellington: expressive timber against worked metal, monumental scale against disciplined geometry, and old-world craftsmanship interpreted through a distinctly contemporary form.
Designed to command a substantial dining room, Wellington comfortably establishes the architecture of the space around it while remaining restrained enough to allow exceptional chairs, lighting and art to coexist alongside it.
Each Wellington Dining Table is made to order. Natural variations in grain, figure, color and tonal movement are intrinsic to the timber and ensure that every table is individually distinct.
CRAFTSMANSHIP & DETAILS
Top
Richly figured burl veneer is selected for exceptional movement and depth, with the grain carefully composed across the expansive tabletop. A deep tobacco-brown coloration reveals natural tonal variation, while a refined satin finish enhances the character of the timber without obscuring its extraordinary figure. A substantial architectural edge is finished with fine aged-brass perimeter detailing.
Pedestal
A sculptural hourglass-form pedestal anchors the table, formed in hand-worked metal and finished in warm aged brass with restrained patination. Its finely irregular hand-hammered surface is intentionally organic rather than mechanically repetitive, creating subtle variations in texture and reflected light. A smooth brass collar defines the narrow waist before the pedestal opens into a broad sculptural foot and recessed dark-bronze shadow detail at the base.
Construction
The Wellington Dining Table is made to order and individually finished. Natural variations in burl figure, grain, coloration, hand-hammering and patination are inherent to the materials and ensure that each table is individually distinct. Designed for residential dining use. Professional installation is recommended.

The Wellington Dining Table is individually made to order and carefully prepared for transport upon completion.
Due to its scale, weight and material construction, Wellington ships by specialized crated freight. Shipping and delivery charges are calculated separately according to destination and access requirements.
International orders may be subject to applicable duties, taxes, customs charges and import fees.
Because of the table's substantial dimensions, customers are responsible for confirming that all entrances, corridors, stairways, elevators and installation areas can accommodate the piece before ordering.
Professional receiving, handling and installation are strongly recommended.
CARE
Dust regularly using a clean, soft, dry microfiber cloth.
For the timber surface, immediately blot spills with a soft absorbent cloth. Avoid allowing standing liquids to remain on the tabletop. Do not use abrasive cleaners, silicone-based polishes, harsh chemicals or household cleaning sprays.
Use coasters, placemats and trivets beneath beverages, serving pieces and hot objects. Avoid placing extremely hot or wet items directly on the timber.
Protect the table from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme fluctuations in temperature or humidity, which may affect natural wood materials over time.
The aged-brass pedestal should be cleaned only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use commercial metal polish or abrasive products, as these may alter the hand-applied patina.
Minor changes in the brass finish over time are characteristic of a living metal surface and contribute to its natural patina.
