Vivienne Atelier Duvet

The Vivienne Atelier Duvet Cover is individually handmade to order, bringing the collection's signature couture textile composition to a softer, more fluid bedding construction.

Its decorative face is individually composed from deep cotton velvets, tailored wool-rich herringbones, heritage-inspired plaids, dimensional woven textiles and selectively placed archival-inspired embroidered passages. Each section is individually cut and positioned according to scale, texture and visual balance rather than a conventional repeating pattern.

The textiles are meticulously pieced together and selectively stabilized so that their individual character and natural drape remain beautifully preserved. Unlike the more structured Vivienne Quilt, quilting is used sparingly, allowing the duvet to take on the softness and natural loft of the insert within.

The reverse is finished in smooth warm-ivory premium cotton sateen, while fine espresso velvet piping defines the perimeter. Internal corner ties secure the duvet insert, and a discreet concealed closure at the foot maintains the uninterrupted tailored appearance.

The complexity of Vivienne's textile composition requires time, precision and skilled handwork. Each duvet cover is made slowly and deliberately rather than produced to a conventional production schedule, allowing every seam, textile transition and finishing detail to meet the standard intended for the Atelier collection.

Subtle variations in textile placement and hand-finished details are inherent to the individually made nature of each Vivienne and make every piece subtly its own.

I prefer this because we're not simply telling the customer it takes 16–20 weeks. We're explaining why: someone is composing the textile placement, cutting the individual materials, joining different fabric types, controlling the quilting, finishing the edges and inspecting the completed piece.

That story is what makes the lead time—and the higher Atelier pricing—feel coherent.

The Vivienne Atelier Duvet is individually made to order and crafted specifically for each commission.

Estimated production and delivery: 20–24 weeks.

Once complete, each duvet is carefully inspected, professionally folded and packaged for protected delivery.

White-glove or expedited delivery may be available for select destinations upon request. International orders may be subject to applicable duties, taxes and customs charges.

Because the decorative face combines multiple luxury textiles, the Vivienne Atelier Duvet Cover should be professionally specialty cleaned rather than machine washed, despite its cotton sateen reverse.

Remove the duvet insert before cleaning.

Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach or iron directly. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight. Blot accidental spills immediately with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth without rubbing.

Between cleanings, gently air the duvet cover and use a soft textile brush where appropriate. When storing, ensure the piece is completely clean and dry and place it loosely folded in a breathable textile bag.

Avoid long-term compression to preserve the velvet pile, dimensional textiles and embroidered detailing.
