Delicate wings and mineral-blue detail give The Dragonfly the quiet precision of a rare natural-history folio.

The most ethereal of the collection, The Dragonfly pairs a long mineral-blue body with extraordinarily delicate, intricately veined wings. A deep slate-blue ground gives the specimen quiet drama while preserving the scholarly restraint of a historical entomological plate.

Each piece in The Ellory Entomology Collection™ is made to order and individually finished. Please allow approximately 20-24 weeks for production prior to dispatch.

Following final inspection, the artwork is carefully protected and packed in a custom-built art crate appropriate to its size and destination. The frame, glazing, brass plaque and picture light are individually protected to preserve their finishes throughout transit.

Shipping charges are calculated according to destination, finished dimensions and crating requirements. Oversized works and complete five-piece collections may require specialized freight service.

International orders may be subject to duties, taxes, brokerage charges and other destination-specific fees, which are the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise stated.

Professional installation is recommended. Installation and white-glove service are not currently included.

Dust the frame, plaque and picture light gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or exceptionally soft natural-bristle brush. Do not use chemical cleaners, polishing compounds, abrasive materials or household glass cleaners on the frame, plaque or glazing.

Clean museum acrylic only with a cleaner specifically formulated for conservation acrylic and a clean, non-abrasive microfiber cloth.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive humidity, extreme temperature fluctuations and direct heat sources. Although museum-grade glazing provides substantial UV protection, no fine artwork should be continuously exposed to intense direct sunlight.

Do not attempt to polish the aged brass or gilded surfaces. Their patina and tonal variation are intentional elements of the hand-finished character.

For installation and relocation, handle the work by the structural frame rather than the picture light, mat or glazing. Professional installation is recommended, particularly for Grand sizes.
