A masterpiece revealed in music—an heirloom baby grand where fine instrument making meets the art of the painted interior.

The SELAH Botanical Baby Grand Piano transforms the classical grand piano into an extraordinary work of functional art—an instrument conceived to be as compelling visually as it is musically.

Finished in a deeply polished piano-black lacquer, the exterior is deliberately restrained, defined by fine metal detailing, subtle botanical ornamentation and the discreet SELAH marque. Its dark architectural silhouette allows the piano to command a room without revealing its most remarkable detail.

When the lid is raised, the character of the instrument changes entirely.

Across the underside unfolds an expansive hand-painted botanical composition, created as an artwork specifically for the piano. Overscaled blooms, sweeping foliage and delicate branches emerge against the black ground in a rich palette of parchment, antique gold, tobacco, oxblood and earthen tones. The composition follows the sculptural sweep of the lid, turning an ordinarily concealed surface into the defining artistic gesture of the instrument.

The contrast is intentional. Closed, the SELAH Botanical is an elegant black grand. Open, it becomes a botanical artwork of dramatic scale.

Its artistry, however, is never intended to overshadow its purpose. SELAH is conceived first as a full 88-key acoustic baby grand piano, with the decorative program developed around the construction and acoustic requirements of the instrument rather than compromising them. Every painted, inlaid and finished element is considered in relation to the piano itself.

Each SELAH Botanical is made to order and individually numbered, with the natural variation inherent in hand-applied artistry ensuring that no two commissions are entirely identical.

Created for interiors in which the piano is not simply placed in the room but becomes part of its architecture, the SELAH Botanical occupies a rare space between musical instrument, decorative art and future heirloom.

A piano when closed. A work of art when opened.

The SELAH Botanical is constructed as a full-size 88-key acoustic baby grand piano and individually finished to order. The case is executed in high-polish piano-black lacquer with restrained metal stringing and hand-applied botanical inlay detailing. The underside of the lid features a large-scale hand-painted botanical composition created specifically for the instrument, rather than a repeating surface pattern.

A sculpted piano-black music desk remains deliberately unadorned, allowing the painted lid to command attention when opened. The SELAH marque is discreetly applied to the fallboard, while satin aged-brass pedals, traditional double-wheel casters and refined metal detailing provide a subtle jewelry-like finish.

Each instrument includes an individually numbered SELAH by House of Ellory Atelier maker's plaque.

Available configurations may include Traditional Acoustic, Acoustic with Self-Player, Acoustic with Silent/Digital System, and Acoustic with combined Self-Player + Silent/Digital functionality, subject to final technical specification.

The SELAH Botanical is offered as a Baby Grand Piano, with final dimensions determined by the selected acoustic chassis and technical configuration. A typical finished size is approximately 5'0"–5'6" long × 59–60" wide × approximately 39–40" high with the lid closed.

Piano Bench: 34 W × 15.5 D × adjustable 19–22 H inches

Each SELAH Botanical Grand is individually commissioned and made to order. From the preparation of its piano-black lacquered case and creation of the hand-finished botanical artwork through cabinetmaking, decorative detailing, instrument assembly, regulation and final finishing, every piano is created as an individual work.

Because of the highly specialized nature of its construction, please allow approximately 11 months for production. Bespoke specifications or particularly complex commissions may require additional time. Final lead time will be confirmed at the time of order.

Dust lacquered surfaces frequently with a clean, exceptionally soft microfiber cloth using light pressure. Avoid household furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, alcohol, solvents and silicone-based products. Fingerprints should be removed only with products specifically approved for high-gloss piano finishes.

The hand-painted lid interior and decorative inlay should never be scrubbed or treated with household cleaning products. Keep the piano away from prolonged direct sunlight, heating vents, fireplaces and significant fluctuations in temperature or humidity.

Maintain a stable interior environment appropriate for a fine acoustic piano. Professional tuning, regulation and voicing should be performed by a qualified piano technician at intervals appropriate to climate and use. Electronic, silent and self-player systems should be serviced according to the system manufacturer's requirements.
