The Rothwell Dining Table is an exploration of proportion, material and quiet architectural detail.
A sweeping circular top is composed in smoked figured eucalyptus veneer, individually laid to create a dramatic radial marquetry pattern that draws the eye toward a discreet, flush-set center detail. Whisper-fine aged-brass stringing traces the composition, while a restrained metallic reveal beneath the perimeter gives the substantial top an unexpected sense of lightness.
Below, a sculptural ebonized pedestal introduces a softer architectural gesture. Its subtly concave profile is interrupted by an asymmetrical botanical composition, rendered in tonal bas-relief so that the carving emerges gradually through light and shadow rather than contrast.
A recessed aged-brass plinth completes the base, creating a fine shadow line that allows the pedestal to appear almost suspended above the floor.
Designed to be experienced from every direction, Rothwell is equally at home surrounded by dining chairs or standing independently within a grand entrance hall, gallery or foyer.
Each table is individually made to order and finished by hand.
CRAFTSMANSHIP & DETAILS
The Rothwell Dining Table brings together fine cabinetmaking, precision marquetry, sculptural carving and hand-finished metalwork.
The circular top is faced in carefully selected smoked figured eucalyptus veneer. Individual veneer sections are arranged radially, allowing the natural figuring of the wood to travel outward from the center of the table.
Fine aged-brass stringing is inset between the marquetry fields, terminating at a small flush-set central rondel. The metalwork is deliberately restrained, functioning as jewelry within the composition rather than ornament applied to it.
The tabletop incorporates an undercut perimeter profile designed to reduce its apparent visual weight. A narrow aged-brass reveal beneath the edge creates a subtle floating effect when the table is viewed from across the room.
The ebonized pedestal is formed with a gently concave architectural silhouette and finished with an oversized asymmetrical botanical bas-relief. The relief remains tonal with the surrounding surface, allowing depth, shadow and changing light to reveal the carving.
At floor level, a recessed shadow detail separates the pedestal visually from its aged-brass plinth.
Because natural veneer and hand-finished surfaces are integral to the design, variations in grain, figuring, coloration, relief and finish are expected. No two Rothwell tables will be precisely identical.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY
The Rothwell Dining Table is individually made to order and requires approximately 35 – 40 weeks for production prior to shipment.
Due to its scale, weight and handcrafted construction, Rothwell is carefully protected and crated for transportation. The tabletop and pedestal may be packaged separately where required for safe transit and installation.
Shipping charges are calculated according to destination and order requirements. International delivery is available to select destinations. Applicable duties, taxes, customs charges and destination-specific fees are the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise stated.
Please confirm doorway, corridor, stairway, elevator and installation clearances before ordering.
As a made-to-order House of Ellory piece, all sales are final. Orders cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.
CARE
Dust regularly with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
For routine cleaning of the wood surface, use a slightly damp soft cloth followed immediately by a dry cloth. Do not allow standing moisture to remain on the tabletop.
Use coasters, placemats and trivets beneath beverages, serving pieces and hot objects. Avoid placing extremely hot, wet or abrasive objects directly on the finished surface.
Do not use household sprays, silicone-based polishes, abrasive cleaners, solvents or harsh chemicals.
Spills should be attended to promptly and gently blotted rather than rubbed.
The botanical relief should be dusted with a soft cloth or natural-bristle brush. Do not lift or reposition the table using the relief or decorative elements.
Aged-brass components are intended to develop subtle character over time. Avoid commercial metal polishes unless specifically recommended, as these may alter the intended finish.
Protect the table from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and extreme fluctuations in humidity.
