The Pavon Chair transforms the classical salon chair into an object of decorative art.

Its enveloping silhouette is defined by a sweeping curved back, generously upholstered seat and contrasting ivory interior, framed by a dark architectural timber surround. From the front, Pavon is deliberately restrained—soft ivory upholstery, graceful proportions and a deep, inviting seat create an elegant and quietly luxurious presence.

The reverse reveals the chair's defining expression.

Against a rich black ground, an elaborate peacock unfurls across the curved back, its plumage rendered in layered tones of deep emerald, peacock blue, antique gold and muted bronze. Designed specifically for the architecture of the chair, the composition follows the sweep of the back rather than sitting within it as a conventional decorative panel.

Fine ivory piping traces the chair's perimeter, creating a subtle transition between the dark exterior and pale interior, while a finely detailed dark timber plinth and restrained brass sabots complete the silhouette.

Designed to be viewed from every direction, The Pavon Chair is as much an object within a room as it is a place to sit—equally suited to a grand bedroom, library, dressing room or formal salon.

Each chair is made to order.

The Pavon Chair is individually handcrafted with particular attention given to the relationship between its upholstery, sculptural frame and decorative back.

The gently curved outer shell wraps continuously around the chair, creating its characteristic enveloping silhouette. A generously upholstered seat and loose back cushion provide softness within the more architectural exterior.

The peacock composition is engineered specifically for the curved rear elevation of the chair, allowing the plumage to travel naturally across the back rather than appearing as a separately applied decorative element. Its layered coloration and fine detailing create exceptional depth when viewed at close range.

A dark architectural timber surround follows the curvature of the chair and terminates in a finely detailed lower plinth. Subtle ivory piping defines the transition between interior and exterior surfaces, while restrained brass sabots provide a final jewelry-like detail at the feet.

Due to the individually crafted nature of the piece, subtle variations in textile placement, decorative detailing, timber tone and hand finishing are inherent to each chair and contribute to its individual character.

Vacuum upholstery regularly using a soft upholstery attachment at low suction. For surface dust, gently brush with a clean, soft textile brush.

Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub. Avoid saturating the upholstery or using household detergents, bleach, solvents or abrasive cleaning products.

Particular care should be taken with the decorative peacock back. Avoid brushing, pulling or repeatedly rubbing raised or intricately worked areas. Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended when deeper cleaning is required.

Dust timber surfaces and brass-finished details with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical polishes and abrasive cleaners.

Protect the chair from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat or moisture, which may cause natural changes to textiles, timber and decorative finishes over time.
