The Henley Rug draws upon the geometry and quiet grandeur of historic European interiors, reinterpreted through the graphic precision of House of Ellory.

A deep espresso-black field provides the foundation for a series of elongated architectural medallions rendered in tobacco, camel, antique ivory and subtle oxblood. Charcoal geometric bands travel across the composition, creating a strong sense of structure and movement, while finely scaled motifs punctuate the darker ground. The restrained palette gives Henley an aged, collected quality without allowing its historical references to feel overly traditional.

Hand-knotted in Nepal from 80% Tibetan Highland wool and 20% natural silk, Henley is constructed at approximately 150 knots per square inch. Select areas may be hand-carved to emphasize the stepped medallions and architectural geometry, while natural silk introduces a controlled luminosity that changes subtly with the direction of the light.

Designed as an anchoring piece for substantial interiors, Henley works particularly beautifully in libraries, salons, formal living rooms, dining rooms and large-scale bedrooms.

Made to order.

The Henley Rug is hand-knotted in Nepal by skilled artisans using 80% Tibetan Highland wool and 20% natural silk. Constructed at approximately 150 knots per square inch, the design combines a deep espresso-black ground with architectural medallions, geometric bands and finely articulated motifs in tobacco, camel, antique ivory, charcoal and restrained oxblood. Natural silk introduces subtle luminosity throughout the composition, while hand-carved detailing creates gentle dimension and definition. Each rug is individually made to order, and the variations inherent to hand-knotting are part of its character.

Once your order has been placed, the rug enters production with our artisan partners in Nepal, where it is hand-knotted, finished, inspected, and prepared for shipment.

Estimated production and delivery timelines will be provided at the time of order and may vary according to rug size, design complexity, hand-carved detailing, custom specifications, and destination.

Approximate delivery is 26-28 weeks

Oversized and bespoke rugs may require specialized freight delivery.

Any additional delivery requirements associated with particularly large-scale commissions will be communicated prior to fulfillment.

International orders may be subject to applicable duties, taxes, customs charges, or import fees according to the destination country.

Because each rug is made specifically for its purchaser, all rug orders are final sale.

A House of Ellory™ rug is designed to develop character gracefully with proper care.

Vacuum regularly using suction only. Avoid rotating brush heads, beater bars, and aggressive vacuum settings, which may disturb the hand-knotted pile.

Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent, undyed cloth. Do not rub the affected area, as rubbing may spread the spill or alter the surface of the wool and silk fibers.

Avoid household carpet cleaners, bleach, harsh detergents, stain-removal chemicals, and steam cleaning.

For substantial spills or periodic deep cleaning, we recommend using a professional rug specialist experienced specifically with hand-knotted wool-and-silk rugs.

Rotate the rug periodically to encourage even wear and minimize prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Natural fibers may gradually develop subtle tonal changes with age and exposure to light.

Furniture should be lifted rather than dragged across the surface. Protective furniture cups may be used beneath particularly heavy pieces.

A high-quality rug pad appropriate to the flooring beneath is recommended to provide additional cushioning, stability, and protection.

Loose fibers should never be pulled. If a fiber or yarn becomes raised, carefully trim it level with the surrounding pile or consult a professional rug specialist.
