The Grosvenor Rug explores the rhythm of line, proportion, and interruption through a bold composition of black and natural ivory.

Fine horizontal bands are punctuated by broader fields and unexpected architectural breaks, creating a pattern that appears ordered at first glance yet reveals a more complex asymmetry upon closer inspection. The restrained palette allows the geometry itself to become the defining element, giving Grosvenor a graphic presence that feels equally at home within classical and contemporary interiors.

Hand-knotted in Nepal from Tibetan wool and silk, the rug combines a dense, softly tactile wool surface with selectively placed silk accents that respond subtly to changing light. The natural character of hand knotting gently softens the precision of the linear design, ensuring that the finished piece retains the individuality and character of an artisan-made textile.

The Grosvenor Rug is individually hand-knotted in Nepal using traditional rug-making techniques.

Crafted from 80% Tibetan wool and 20% silk, the composition pairs the rich matte character of wool with selectively placed silk detailing to introduce subtle variations in texture and luminosity.

The black and natural-ivory palette is intentionally restrained, allowing changes in line weight, spacing and proportion to define the design. Slight variations in knotting, surface texture, dimensions and pattern are inherent to the handmade process and are considered part of the individual character of each rug.

Hand-knotted in Nepal. 80% Tibetan wool / 20% silk. 150-knot construction. Hand-finished. Made to order.

The Grosvenor Rug is offered in 6' × 9', 8' × 10', 9' × 12', 10' × 14', and 12' × 15'.

Oversized dimensions, including 12' × 18' and 14' × 20', are available by inquiry.

Bespoke sizing is also available through The Atelier for projects requiring custom proportions or dimensions.

The Grosvenor Rug is individually made to order.

Please allow approximately 24–28 weeks for production prior to shipment. Production times are estimates and may vary depending upon rug size, material availability and the requirements of the individual piece.

Once your rug has completed production and final inspection, shipping arrangements and tracking information will be provided.

For oversized rugs or international destinations, additional delivery requirements may apply.

Vacuum regularly using suction only. Avoid rotating brush or beater-bar attachments, which may damage the wool and silk fibers.

Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub the affected area.

Avoid household carpet cleaners, harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive cleaning products.

Professional cleaning by a specialist experienced with hand-knotted wool and silk rugs is recommended when deeper cleaning is required.

Rotate the rug periodically to encourage even wear and exposure to light. Prolonged direct sunlight may gradually alter the natural coloration of the fibers.

Use of a high-quality rug pad is recommended to provide additional cushioning, reduce movement and help protect the rug.
