The Florence Sofa is an expansive study in color, proportion and exceptional comfort, conceived as a gathering place on a truly grand scale.

A carefully orchestrated progression of Oxblood, Olive, Chocolate, Antique Mustard, Plum and Hague Blue moves across the composition, giving each seating area its own character while maintaining the visual continuity of a single, monumental sofa.

The long architectural back is defined by broad vertical channeling and a clean, continuous upper line. In contrast, the seat cushions remain smooth and generously upholstered, with broad sitting surfaces and restrained crown for a deeply comfortable appearance without excessive softness or bulk.

Generous chaise extensions anchor both ends. Oxblood velvet and deep Chocolate establish a warm, dramatic counterpoint at one end, while the opposite chaise combines a Hague Blue sitting surface with an Oxblood lower surround—one of the Florence's defining details.

A slender aged-brass plinth traces the base, visually lifting the substantial upholstery and adding a quiet architectural finish.

The Florence Sofa is individually made to order around a kiln-dried hardwood frame, engineered for exceptional strength, stability and longevity. Premium high-density cushioning provides lasting support and shape retention, while a generous down-wrapped upper layer creates the softer, deeply comfortable sitting experience characteristic of House of Ellory upholstery.

Each seat is generously proportioned and individually tailored to achieve a broad, supportive sitting surface with a subtle crown rather than an overly firm or exaggerated cushion profile. The continuous upholstered back is finished with broad vertical channeling, while the seat surfaces remain smooth and un-tufted for a quieter architectural expression.

Rich velvet is individually cut and upholstered across the Florence's signature color composition, allowing natural variations in pile direction and reflected light to give the textile its depth. Tailored piping defines the cushions, and a recessed aged-brass plinth creates a fine architectural reveal beneath the substantial upholstery. Coordinating accent cushions complete the composition. Each Florence is individually upholstered, assembled and finished by hand.

The Florence Sofa is individually made to order with an estimated production lead time of approximately 28–30 weeks. Due to its exceptional scale, Florence is constructed as a series of precisely coordinated sections for specialist transportation and installation. White-glove delivery is required.

Prior to production, clients should confirm that entrances, corridors, elevators, stairways and the final installation area can accommodate the individual components. House of Ellory may request access measurements before production. International delivery is available, with applicable freight, duties, taxes and destination-specific charges calculated separately.

As a made-to-order commission, the Florence Sofa is final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

Vacuum upholstery regularly using a soft upholstery attachment, working gently in the direction of the velvet pile. Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth without rubbing or saturating the textile. Do not use household detergents, abrasive cleaners or chemical spot treatments. Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended for persistent marks or general cleaning. Velvet naturally develops subtle changes in pile direction, pressure marks and tonal appearance with use; these characteristics are inherent to the textile. Protect upholstery from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat. Rotate and gently reshape loose accent cushions periodically. Dust the metal plinth with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive or chemical metal cleaners.
