The Sauveterre Dining Chair is defined by a quiet architectural confidence—a compact, fully upholstered silhouette composed of substantial squared arms, a generously cushioned seat and a softly tailored lumbar back cushion.

Designed to offer the comfort and presence of an upholstered armchair without the scale of lounge seating, Sauveterre brings a more intimate sense of luxury to the dining table. Its low, continuous profile creates a sculptural frame around the sitter, while the subtly crowned seat and relaxed back cushion soften the geometry without diminishing its tailored character.

The base is discreetly recessed and upholstered to match, allowing the chair to appear almost monolithic from a distance. There are no exposed legs or decorative hardware to interrupt the form; the emphasis remains on proportion, upholstery and craftsmanship.

Offered in a curated House of Ellory palette of Mineral Ivory, Chocolate, French Blue, Olive and Black, with Saddle Cognac Leather providing a richer equestrian interpretation, Sauveterre transitions naturally between formal dining rooms, libraries, private studies and intimate entertaining spaces.

Handcrafted upholstered dining armchair · engineered hardwood and kiln-dried hardwood internal frame · reinforced joinery at structural stress points · high-resilience multi-density cushioning · gently crowned upholstered seat · tailored loose lumbar back cushion · substantial fully upholstered architectural arms · clean tonal seams · recessed upholstered plinth base · concealed floor-protective glides · individually cut and tailored upholstery · pattern-free plain upholstery unless otherwise specified · made to order.

Velvet Colorways: Mineral Ivory · Chocolate · French Blue · Olive · Black

Velvet should be specified as a dense, premium short-pile upholstery velvet with a refined directional nap and quiet matte-lustrous surface.

Leather Colorway: Saddle Cognac

Premium semi-aniline upholstery leather with fine natural character, subtle tonal variation and a soft satin-matte finish.

I would keep the construction language slightly general until your manufacturer confirms the exact internal frame, foam densities, suspension and textile compositions. We shouldn't publish construction claims the factory hasn't yet committed to.

Each Sauveterre Dining Chair is individually produced to order.

Estimated production lead time: 24–28 weeks.

Once production is complete, the chair undergoes final inspection before being carefully packed for transit. Shipping time is additional and varies according to destination. International orders may be subject to destination-specific duties, taxes, customs charges and import requirements.

Because each chair is made specifically for the client, all orders are final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once placed.

For velvet, vacuum gently using a soft upholstery attachment to remove surface dust. Attend to spills promptly by blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth; never rub the pile. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and excessive moisture. Periodically brush the velvet gently in the direction of the nap using an appropriate velvet or upholstery brush. Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended for deeper cleaning. Protect from prolonged direct sunlight and concentrated heat.

For Saddle Cognac Leather, dust regularly with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Blot spills immediately and avoid household detergents, solvents, oils or abrasive cleaners. Use only products specifically approved for premium semi-aniline upholstery leather. Natural variations in grain, tone and patina are characteristic of genuine hides and should not be considered defects.
