The Gustavian Desk is defined by restraint.

A broad writing surface flows through softly sculpted shoulders into substantial slab sides, creating the impression of a continuous architectural form. The absence of conventional legs, decorative hardware and applied ornament allows proportion and material to become the defining elements of the piece.

Set discreetly within the apron, a single central drawer provides practical storage while preserving the purity of the façade. Rather than visible hardware, the drawer is opened by a concealed integrated pull, maintaining an uninterrupted exterior.

In the Deep Chocolate Burl edition, carefully selected figured veneer travels across the principal surfaces, its dense organic movement tempered by a low-satin finish. The darker coloration allows the figuring to emerge gradually rather than overwhelm the simplicity of the form.

The Deep Oxblood edition transforms the same architecture through richly layered lacquer, while Warm Ivory offers a quieter interpretation that emphasizes Gustavian's sculptural transitions and substantial proportions.

Gustavian Desk

The Gustavian Desk is made to order with an estimated production period of 24–28 weeks following order confirmation.

Each piece is individually inspected and professionally packed for transport. Due to its substantial construction and fine finished surfaces, Gustavian is shipped using specialized furniture freight.

Freight and delivery requirements vary according to destination. Oversized or international deliveries may require additional crating, handling, customs clearance or specialized delivery services.

International duties, taxes and customs charges, where applicable, are the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Please confirm all doorways, corridors, stairways, elevators and other access points can accommodate the dimensions of the piece prior to ordering.

Made-to-order pieces are final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

For Deep Chocolate Burl, dust regularly using a soft, clean, dry cloth. Immediately blot spills and never allow standing moisture to remain on the surface.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, household chemicals, silicone-based polishes or aggressive furniture sprays. Use a writing pad, coaster or protective surface beneath objects that may scratch, stain or transfer heat.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and significant fluctuations in temperature or humidity. Natural veneer may gradually develop subtle tonal changes with age and exposure to light.

For Deep Oxblood and Warm Ivory lacquer, clean using a soft, slightly damp cloth followed immediately by a dry cloth. Never use abrasive pads or polishing compounds unless specifically approved for the finish.

The high-finish lacquer surfaces should be protected from sharp objects, excessive heat and prolonged moisture.
