Generous in scale and unmistakable in silhouette, The Montfort Lounge is conceived as a deeply enveloping retreat—somewhere between an oversized lounge chair and an intimate settee.

Its broad, sweeping frame curves continuously from back to arm, creating a sculptural shelter around an exceptionally generous circular seat. The low architectural profile is balanced by a beautifully crowned loose cushion, while layered pillows introduce softness and a more relaxed expression without compromising the clarity of the silhouette.

Montfort's restrained form was intentionally created as a canvas for material. Velvet, heritage checks, herringbones, botanical textiles and exceptionally tactile fur compositions transform the character of the piece while its distinctive architecture remains unchanged.

A subtly recessed circular base grounds the generous upholstered volume and gives the lounge an unexpected sense of lightness. From every angle, the composition remains considered, allowing Montfort to stand confidently away from a wall and become a focal point within a bedroom, dressing room, library, sitting room or expansive living space.

Offered in a curated collection of House of Ellory textile compositions, The Montfort Lounge is made to order and individually upholstered by skilled artisans.

Sculptural Upholstered Frame

A generously scaled, continuous shelter frame sweeps from back to arm, creating Montfort's distinctive enveloping silhouette.

Generous Loose Seat

The oversized circular seat cushion is generously filled and softly crowned for deep comfort while retaining a tailored perimeter.

Curated Textile Compositions

Each Montfort composition has been individually considered, pairing velvets with herringbones, plaids, botanical textiles, graphic patterns or tactile fur.

Layered Cushions

A considered arrangement of loose back and accent cushions introduces additional depth, comfort and material contrast.

Tailored Upholstery

Pattern placement, seam positioning and piping are carefully considered to follow the architecture of the lounge rather than interrupt it.

Recessed Circular Base

The low-profile base is recessed beneath the upholstered body, allowing the substantial silhouette to appear subtly elevated.

Made to Order

Each Montfort Lounge is individually produced and upholstered to order. Pattern placement and the natural character of textiles may vary subtly from piece to piece.

Estimated lead time: 28–30 weeks.

The Montfort Lounge is individually produced to order and carefully inspected prior to shipment. Due to its scale, the piece ships by crated freight delivery.

Shipping charges are calculated separately according to destination and will be confirmed prior to fulfillment. International orders may be subject to additional freight charges, customs duties, taxes and import fees.

Please verify all entry dimensions—including doorways, corridors, stairways and elevators—before ordering.

As a made-to-order piece, The Montfort Lounge is final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

Vacuum upholstery periodically using a soft upholstery attachment on low suction. For velvet, gently brush in the direction of the pile with a clean, soft upholstery brush to restore its appearance.

Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub. Avoid household cleaners, bleach, solvents or abrasive products. Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended for deeper cleaning.

Fur surfaces should be gently shaken or brushed with a soft-bristle brush as needed to maintain the natural loft of the pile. Avoid excessive friction, moisture and direct heat.

Protect all upholstery from prolonged direct sunlight, which may cause fading or changes in coloration over time. Rotate loose cushions periodically to encourage even wear.

Because several Montfort compositions incorporate specialty textiles, professional cleaning is recommended.
