The Shepard Chair reinterprets the traditional wing chair through a quieter, more architectural lens.

Its defining feature is an exceptionally tall upholstered back, gently concave across the crown and drawn outward into softly sculpted wings. Below, restrained scroll arms descend through a fluid, continuous curve toward the front rail, giving the chair its distinctive silhouette without relying on excessive ornamentation.

A generously proportioned loose seat cushion provides deep comfort while fine self-piping traces the chair's sweeping contours and emphasizes the precision of its upholstery. Exposed tapered timber legs lighten the substantial upper form and give Shepard a composed, residential character from every angle.

Each chair is made to order and individually upholstered. Smooth velvet allows light to move subtly across the expansive back and sculpted arms, while the timber base is finished to complement each upholstery selection.

The collection is offered in Warm Ivory Velvet, Burnished Tobacco Velvet, English Green Velvet and Oxblood Velvet, with selected mixed-material Atelier compositions available by commission.

The Shepard Chair is made to order with an estimated production period of 24–28 weeks following final order confirmation and upholstery approval.

Each chair is carefully protected and shipped by specialized furniture freight. Delivery charges are calculated according to destination, access requirements and selected delivery service.

Customers are responsible for confirming that doorways, corridors, staircases, elevators and other access points can accommodate the chair before ordering. Due to its exceptionally tall back and substantial proportions, particular attention should be given to delivery clearances.

Bespoke upholstery and Atelier configurations may require additional production time.

As a made-to-order piece, The Shepard Chair is final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended. Vacuum periodically using a soft upholstery attachment and avoid aggressive brushing. Attend to spills immediately by gently blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Avoid saturating the textile or applying household cleaners directly to the velvet.

Velvet naturally develops subtle variations in pile direction, shading and pressure marking with use. These characteristics are inherent to the textile and are not considered defects. Protect upholstery from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture. Lumbar cushions may be gently reshaped by hand as required.
