The Madison Avenue Ottoman completes the collection with a generously scaled circular silhouette conceived as both an upholstered footrest and a luxurious cocktail ottoman.

Its expansive top is gently crowned rather than flat, giving the piece a soft, inviting presence while remaining substantial enough to accommodate a decorative tray. A slender self-welt defines the perimeter before the silhouette transitions into an exceptionally restrained tailored skirt.

Rather than conventional gathered upholstery, the skirt is constructed from broad, uninterrupted panels punctuated by precisely controlled inverted pleats around the circumference. The result is architectural, composed and deliberately understated.

At 54 inches in diameter, Madison Avenue has sufficient scale to anchor a large seating arrangement while its 18-inch height aligns naturally with the seating height of the coordinating sofa and chair.

The ottoman should use a hand-built reinforced hardwood/engineered hardwood frame; substantial internal support appropriate for occasional seating; high-resilience multi-density cushioning with a softly crowned upper profile; natural fiber cushioning wrap; dense plain velvet upholstery; hand-applied self-welt around the upper perimeter; broad individually cut skirt panels; four structurally positioned inverted pleats around the full circumference; weighted, level skirt hem; concealed hardwood support; and hand-finished upholstery throughout.

For manufacturing, I would specify that the front-facing pleat be perfectly centered in the primary orientation of the piece. The remaining pleats should occur naturally around the circumference so that the front presentation remains quiet and symmetrical.

Each Madison Avenue piece is individually made to order and requires an extended production period reflecting its frame construction, upholstery, tailoring and finishing.

Large-format furniture is shipped by specialized freight. Delivery requirements, property access, stairways, elevators, corridors and doorway clearances should be confirmed before ordering. Due to the scale of the Madison Avenue Sofa in particular, customers should review all access dimensions carefully.

International orders may be subject to destination-specific freight, duties, taxes, customs charges and additional handling requirements.

Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended. Vacuum periodically using a soft upholstery attachment and avoid aggressive brushing. Attend to spills immediately by gently blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Avoid saturating the textile or applying household cleaners directly to the velvet.

Velvet naturally develops subtle variations in pile direction, shading and pressure marking with use. These characteristics are inherent to the textile and are not considered defects. Protect upholstery from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture. Lumbar cushions may be gently reshaped by hand as required.
