The Giuliette Sofa is conceived as a study in continuous form—an elongated upholstered silhouette in which the back, arms and seat appear to flow as a single sculptural gesture.

Broad, gently rising arms sweep upward from either end before transitioning into a long, uninterrupted back, creating an enveloping profile without sacrificing the clarity of the architecture. A generously crowned bench seat extends across the composition, providing deep, relaxed comfort while preserving Giuliette's exceptionally clean horizontal line.

The upholstery is precisely tailored around the sofa's compound curves, with smooth tonal seams tracing the sculptural arms and a restrained seam defining the lower seat. Rather than decorative embellishment, Giuliette relies upon proportion, material and craftsmanship for its presence.

A deeply recessed aged-champagne-brass plinth runs beneath the upholstered body, lifting the sofa subtly above the floor and introducing a fine metallic counterpoint to its substantial form.

Offered in a considered palette of House of Ellory upholstery colors, Giuliette is made to order in three proportions for both expansive residential interiors and more restrained architectural settings.

Sculptural Frame

The Giuliette is constructed around a substantial furniture-grade internal frame engineered to support its extended span and sweeping upholstered profile. The frame is shaped to create the continuous transition between the back and generously curved arms.

Continuous Bench Seat

A single uninterrupted seat creates Giuliette's characteristic long horizontal composition. Multi-density cushioning should be specified to provide a supportive internal structure beneath a softer, generously crowned upper layer.

Tailored Arm Construction

The compound curves of each arm are individually upholstered and finished with smooth, precisely controlled tonal seams following the natural sweep of the silhouette. The seams should remain fine and architectural rather than pronounced piping.

Upholstery

Giuliette is conceived in a dense, luxurious upholstery with exceptional color depth and tactile softness. For the premium specification we have developed, I would describe this as House of Ellory Mélange Mohair once your manufacturer/textile mill confirms the final fiber composition.

Importantly, don't state an exact mohair percentage until you have the actual fabric specification.

The intended textile should read as a nearly solid field from a distance, with subtle tonal variation and natural pile movement becoming apparent at closer range. There should be no embossed or woven decorative motif.

Aged-Champagne-Brass Plinth

A slim metal plinth is recessed beneath the upholstered body so that the sofa appears to float subtly above the floor. The brass is finished in a muted aged-champagne tone with a low-luster satin character rather than a bright polished finish.

The Giuliette Sofa is made to order with an estimated production period of 24–28 weeks following confirmation of the order and final upholstery selection.

Due to its scale and sculptural construction, Giuliette requires specialist furniture handling. The sofa will be carefully protected for transport and delivered by appropriate furniture freight based upon destination.

Freight, customs duties, import taxes, remote-area surcharges, stair carries, crane service or other extraordinary access requirements may be quoted separately where applicable.

Prior to ordering, purchasers are responsible for confirming that all doors, corridors, elevators, stairways and other access points can accommodate the selected Giuliette size. Particular consideration should be given to the sofa's substantial depth and fixed sculptural arms.

Where available, White Glove Delivery may include placement in the purchaser's room of choice and removal of standard protective packaging. Service availability varies by destination.

As a made-to-order piece, The Giuliette Sofa is final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.

UPHOLSTERY

Vacuum regularly using a soft upholstery attachment, working gently in the direction of the pile. Avoid aggressive brushing or rubbing.

Attend to spills immediately by blotting gently with a clean, absorbent white cloth. Do not rub the surface, as this may disturb the pile or spread the stain.

Velvet and mohair textiles naturally respond to light and touch. Subtle shading, pressure marks and changes in pile direction are inherent characteristics of these materials and should not be considered defects. Specialist textile sources similarly note that pile direction can cause mohair velvet to appear lighter or darker and that pressure marking is normal.

Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended for significant staining or overall cleaning. The final cleaning method should always follow the cleaning code supplied with the selected upholstery. Mohair textiles can have different prescribed cleaning systems depending upon their construction and finishing.

Protect upholstery from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat, which may contribute to fading or changes in the textile over time.

AGED CHAMPAGNE BRASS

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal polishes or chemical cleaning products unless specifically approved for the finish.

The hand-finished metal is intended to develop subtle tonal variation and patina over time.
