Designed around the beauty of a single, uninterrupted gesture, The Caldermere Sofa is defined by generous proportion, softened geometry and an unusually restrained silhouette.

Its low back rises gently behind an exceptionally deep seat, while broad radiused edges allow the upholstery to flow continuously across the form. Rather than relying on loose cushions, tufting or decorative detailing, Caldermere derives its character from proportion itself—the subtle crown of the seat, softly rounded perimeter and precise relationship between each upholstered plane.

A deeply recessed base creates the impression that the substantial form is hovering just above the floor, preserving the sofa's visual lightness despite its generous scale.

Hand-built to order by specialist furniture makers, Caldermere is offered in a curated selection of House of Ellory velvets and leathers, including Ivory Velvet, Chocolate Velvet, Tobacco Leather, Deep Olive Leather and Oxblood Leather.

The extended Double Caldermere transforms the silhouette into an extraordinary architectural centerpiece for great rooms, galleries and exceptionally large-scale interiors.

The Caldermere Sofa is handcrafted to order and requires approximately 28–33 weeks for production prior to shipment. This extended lead time reflects the hand-built nature of the piece, including frame construction, upholstery preparation, tailoring, finishing and final inspection.

Once production is complete, the sofa will be carefully prepared for transit and shipped using an appropriate furniture delivery service. Delivery timing following completion varies according to destination.

Due to its scale, larger configurations may be constructed in multiple sections engineered to connect securely during installation. Customers are responsible for confirming that doorways, corridors, elevators, stairways and final placement areas can accommodate the ordered configuration.

Because each Caldermere Sofa is made specifically to order, all orders are final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has begun.

Production and delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to the handcrafted nature of the piece, material availability and destination

Velvet

Vacuum gently using a soft upholstery attachment. Attend to spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Avoid saturating the fabric with water or household cleaning products.

The pile may naturally develop subtle changes in direction and shading with use. This is characteristic of velvet and is not considered a defect.

Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended when required.

Leather

Dust regularly with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Blot spills immediately and avoid rubbing the surface.

Do not use household cleaners, solvents, oils, polishes or abrasive products. Use only products specifically formulated for premium upholstery leather and test first in an inconspicuous area.

Protect from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat and unusually dry conditions. Natural variations in grain, tone, markings and patina are inherent characteristics of genuine leather and contribute to the individuality of each piece.
